بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ.
Allāh selected from His creation men whom were the most pure of men and He honoured them with prophethood, then from them He honoured some with messengership, and the greatest of them is our beloved sallAllāhu 'alayhi wa-sallam. Allāh sent these men out to the creation and thus established the proof against the kuffār and gave glad tidings through them to the believers. Allāh commanded that these prophets be obeyed, so upon them be peace, and may Allah assist us in honouring them. They are the friends of Allāh, they are the most perfected of His 'awliyā' and whoever wages war against them shall have the most severe in punishment as an enemy.
Allāh informed us of them in His book and upon the tongue of His beloved sallAllāhu 'alayhi wa-sallam, and thus we were informed of their qualities. Thus was it clearly established that they were the most truthful and free from any kind of deception, the scholars agreed that they were free from major sin and were agreed that anyone who seeks to belittle any one of them is a Kāfir. But they differed on what was possible for them, some said it was possible for them to commit minor sins while others negated this, and all of this has been transmitted by the trustworthy scholars.
Those from whom we took this religion narrated the affair with truth and they were firm in their belief that the prophets, upon them be peace, are free from minor sins, and this is the position we are upon. So if it asked, what is the rational proof for this belief of yours? Our response is, Allāh's refuge is sought, we didn't base this belief upon rational proofs as the intellect doesn't object to Allāh choosing anything from His creation for anything He desires, so how then could the intellect establish necessities and impossibilities for prophets? Rather these are established by the Qur'ān, the Sunnah and the ijmā'. Our proofs are well known amongst the scholars as well as the students of knowledge, and I'm not writing to repeat what has been said by men greater than me. So whoever wants to see our proofs can read the many books written on the topic and can see the affair for what it is.
Allāh obliged what He obliged and prohibited that one seek faults in a believer, let alone in the prophets, upon them be peace, and it was narrated to us that this (seeking fault in the prophets, upon them be peace) is kufr. So I don't understand why some of the most wretched of Allāh's creation have made this filthy act of theirs into a sport, where by they compete with one another to see who can find the most "sins" that the prophets, upon them be peace, commited. These people who have little virtue sought virtue in this and Allāh's refuge is sought. They searched through the Qur'an and the Sunnah, looking for what they could call sins and thus started to talk about the prophets, upon them be peace, without due reverence. They didn't stop there, they declared us deviant for seeking out excuses for those whom Allāh exalted, so what should we say about these people except that they envy the prophets, upon them be peace?
The sahabah, may Allāh be pleased with them, were stern in following the best of creation, sallAllāhu 'alayhi wa-sallam, to the extent where if he ripped his shirt they ripped theirs, and we only found the people of nifāq seek fault in him saying to him "be just". I would love to spend my time showing how the things they think are sins in regards to the prophets, upon them be peace, are not sins but that would only increases these people in their quest to belittle the prophets, upon them be peace.
The reality of these sick people is that they are like the Jews of old, they just want to argue and feel better about their pathetic existence. Had they truly wanted the truth, they wouldn't follow every minority position just to be at odds with the Muslims. They want that the people look at them, honour them and give them all of what Allāh deprived them of. And thus realise the real reason that they seek out faults in the prophets, upon them be peace, and understand that these people who are accustomed to sin can't conceive of anyone beyond that.
Take my advise and realise that these people are children trying to attain greatness, but how can they achieve what they aren't created for? The religion to them is just a sport, and thus you find them busying themselves in shouting bid'ah while they themselves are full of bid'ah. Ultimately we are answerable to Allāh, so when Allāh asks these people why they did what they did, then how will they respond? Adab (etiquette) demands that one restrain when speaking about those better than them from the normal people, so what then do you reckon is the right of the prophets, upon them be peace? As for us, then we have our responses and we don't need to play games with little children.
I will leave you with some words, fear Allāh, learn to shut up and be not from the mockers. It is better that you run around naked than that you use Allāh's religion to boost your ego.
I have written this and I hope that Allāh pardons my sins and the sins of the sincere reader. So this was written in the blessed month of Rabī' al-'awwal, the month on which my master sallAllāhu 'alayhi wa-sallam was born, and indeed Allāh blessed me to be born in this month, such that I have something in common with His beloved. The year is 1439, 1439 years from the blessed hijra and 1418 years separated me from it. So may the salawāt of Allāh ever be upon my master the greatest man to ever stand upon two feet. May Allāh make us fortunate to see him, for the heart misses the beloved. ❤
